Fifteen-year-old Toni, a Roma boy, lives in the largest illegal shantytown in Europe, on the outskirts of Madrid. Proud to belong to a family of scrap metal collectors, he follows his grandfather everywhere, learning the trade and embracing their way of life. But as their land comes under threat from demolition crews, the family begins to fall apart. While some choose to leave for the city in search of a new beginning, Toni’s grandfather refuses to abandon the only home he has ever known. Over the course of several nights, Toni must make a life-changing decision: step into an uncertain future or hold on to the world of his childhood.
